Just to give you a little more background on what we can do with the 3D printer:

3D printing is a process in which three-dimensional objects or models take shape by rapidly building up thin layers of material based on a digital CAD file. The model is created by a rapid proto-typing machine called a Zcorp Z450(full color). Our particular machine is the fastest and most affordable form of rapid proto-typing. The CAD file is read by proprietary software, which interprets it for the printer by dividing the cad model into layers(.004" thick); the printer then creates a 3D replica of the design by quickly building up one layer at a time until the design is realized as a 3Dimensional model. The build environment (the physical size we can build) = 10x8x8" – We can link more than one model to make as big a model as the budget allows. Multiple copies and various scales are very easy and cost effective.

We can take any idea and realize it by making a 3D model.

We have the software to interpret a 2 or 3D drawing and turn it into a 3Dimensional model.

We can also work with clients and give them our own design input.

We’re not limited to architecture, we can create product and furniture models, medical models from mri and cat scans using "Velocity 2" software.

Most projects benefit from being able to be seen early in the design process, both by designers and by potential buyers or funding sources. Potential clients can be shown scale models of proposed projects. 3D printing is ideal for this purpose. Conveying ideas etc……………
